Close Presumptive Case

When an Expert System Case, AABD/MED, ADC/MED, or Medicaid (MED related to either an AABD or ADC category, or CMAP) is Denied or Closed in the Expert System Case Maintenance task, the Presumptive Case  does NOT automatically close. This program case must be closed in the Mainframe via Mainframe Case Maintenance functions.

When an Expert System Case is processed through Budgeting and the Budget results in a grant or passes without a spenddown, the Presumptive Eligibility Case  will automatically close when the budget is authorized.

If the budget fails and results in a spenddown budget, after the budget is authorized, the continuous eligibility questions are asked.

To Close a Presumptive  Program Case

1. From the Detail Program Case window, select Close Program Case from the Actions Pull Down Menu
2. Enter the closing date. This date must be the last day of the current month and cannot be for a previous month.
