Create and Print a Home Study Update

  1. On the Detail Organization window, select the Home Details push button.

    Result:  The Home Details window displays.

  2. Select the Actions menu.
  3. Select Create Home Study.
  4. Select Update.

    Result:  The Home Study window displays.

    Note:  The Home Study window will display the information that was previously entered, but it can be changed if needed.

  5. Enter Date Completed.
  6. Select Purpose from the drop down list.
  7. Select (highlight) the name of Applicant #1, in the Applicant(s) List Box.
  8. Select Actions – Select/Clear Applicant 01.

    Result:  The # 1 display next to the selected name.

  9. If appropriate, select (highlight) the name of Applicant #2, in the Applicant(s) List Box.
  10. Select Actions – Select/Clear Applicant 02.

    Result:  The # 2 displays next to the selected name.

  11. Select (highlight) the name of Applicant #1.

    Result:  The Applicant Info push button enables.

  12. Select the Applicant Info  push button.

    Result:  The Home Study – Applicant Info dialogue box displays.

  13. Enter information as appropriate. (Not Required for Update)
  14. Select OK.

    Result:  The Home Study window displays.

  15. Select (highlight) the name of Applicant #2, if applicable.
  16. Repeat Steps 12-14.
  17. Select OK.

    Result:  The Home Study window displays.

  18. Select Child Spec. Info push button and enter information, if applicable.
  19. If an Approval Status Form is required for anyone in the household, select the name(s) in the Applicant(s) List Box.  You may multi-select.
  20. Select the Approval Status push button or select Details-Approval Status.

    Result:  The Home Study-Approval Status dialogue box displays.

  21. Select the Approval Status Form Required check box.

    Note:

  22. Enter Marriage Date, if applicable.
  23. Enter Self Studies Completed date, if applicable.
  24. Enter Completed By information.

     Note:

  25. Select the black, Out Select Arrow icon.

    Result:  Depending on which radio button was selected:

  26. After identifying the appropriate information, the Home Study window will display with the Completed By information entered.

    Note:  If Org is selected, type in the name of the person who actually updated the Home Study.

  27. If Org or Non-System person is identified, select appropriate Credential.
  28. Select the Referral Out Select Arrow icon, if applicable.

    Result:  The Search Office Position window displays.

  29. Locate the appropriate Referral source.
  30. Enter the Referral Date, if applicable.
  31. Select the Narrative icon.

    Result:  The Search Narrative dialogue box displays.

  32. Select (highlight) a Subject Area that needs to be updated.
  33. Select the New push button.

    Result:  The Detail Narrative window displays.

  34. Select the appropriate Narrative Item from the drop down list.
  35. Enter Narrative text.
  36. Select Save & Next icon to continue if entering narratives for each Item of the    Subject Area.
  37. When you have completed the Narratives for that Subject Area, select the Save Close icon.

    Result:  The Search Narrative dialogue box displays.

  38. To update other Narratives, repeat Steps 32-37.
  39. Select the Cancel push button when finished with updating narratives.

    Result:  The Home Study window displays.

  40. On the Home Study window select the Select Narratives push button.

    Result:  The Select Narrative window displays.

  41. Select which narrative(s) you want to print.

    Note:  If you want to print only the Narrative(s) you just Updated, select (highlight) those lines only.  If you want to print all of the Narratives select the All radio button.  If want to print only the most recent narratives, select the Most Recent radio button.  Remember, the “Most Recent” may include narratives that were written 2 years ago.

  42. Select OK.

    Result:  The Home Study window displays.

  43. Select the Options Menu.

    Note:  For the Update Home Study version the Background Checks and the Placement Preferences sections will print automatically. If you want to choose which specific  Background Checks print, select the Select Backgrnd Chk push button and select (highlight) which ones you want to print.  If you do not want these sections to print, click on the check mark next to the appropriate item on Options Menu.

  44. Select Actions-Print.

    Result:  The Print dialogue box displays.

  45. Select the appropriate Print Update function.

    Note:  You may print either an Update Draft version or an Update Final version as often as needed. A copy of the Final version will be placed in the Correspondence area and can be reprinted from there.

  46. Select OK button.

    Result:  The Print dialogue box displays.

  47. Select Print.

    Result:  The Home Study prints.
