Tie a Complaint to an Intake

Note:  If the complaint involves issues of Abuse/Neglect, the Complaint Type must be Safety and an Intake must be documented. In order to Close the complaint, the complaint must be tied to that Intake.

  1. On the Detail Complaint window, select Actions – Tie Intake.

    Result:  The Search Intake window displays.

  2. Find the appropriate Intake associated to the Complaint.
  3. When you have identified the correct Intake, select the Blue, Return Arrow.

    Result: The Confirm Save dialogue box displays.

  4. Select Yes.

    Result:  The Detail Complaint window displays with the Intake ID located in the Intake group box.

  5. Select the Save icon.

    Result:  The Intake icon (Blue Telephone) enables.

  6. Select the Intake icon.

    Result:  The Detail Intake window displays.

    Note:  A complaint can be tied to only one Intake, but multiple complaints can be tied to that one Intake.

  7. For error correction, Select Actions – Untie Intake.

    Result:  Confirm dialogue box displays.

  8. Select Yes.

    Result:  The Detail Complaint window displays with the Intake icon disabled.
