Add ADC Payment Only Case (Mainframe)

An ADC Payment Only program does not include Medicaid coverage.   It is only for a grant payment for the unborn during the last trimester of pregnancy.

If eligible for Medicaid, the pregnant woman should have a Medicaid program case open for Medicaid for herself.

Conduct a search of N-FOCUS by the person’s name, DOB and SSN to determine if they are known to N-FOCUS.  After completing the search:

  1. Click the Master Case icon on the Main Menu.  The Search for Master Case window opens.
  2. Click the New button if person is not known to N-FOCUS.  The Add Person window opens.  Complete the information for the applicant.
  3. Click the Perform Clearance button to open the Person Clearance List window.  Determine if a new person should be added or if an existing person should be used.
  4. The Detail Address window opens; enter the address and then the telephone.
  5. On the New Programs window, select the AID TO DEPENDENT CHILDREN PAYMENT ONLY program.  This can only be added for a pregnant woman in her last trimester of pregnancy.
  6. Enter the application and proration dates. Click OK.
  7. The Pregnancy window will open.   The Expected Date of Delivery is to be entered on this window.  If the applicant is pregnant with twins, etc, the fetal number can be increased. Select the verification for the pregnancy from the drop down list, if verified.   
  8. Click Ok to return to the New Programs window.  Other programs can be selected at this time, if the applicant has applied for additional programs.
  9. Click OK.  Case registration continues with Language and Interpreter questions.
  10. The user will be returned to the Detail Master Case window, with question “do you want add another person?  
  11. After adding all individuals to the Master case, the  user will go through the Tie Application flow.

Note:When the Interview flow is completed, note on the Detail Master Case window: The program case name for the ADC program is the woman’s name, and the only participant in the program case is the unborn.
