Add an Organization Mailing Address

The mailing address can be entered after the physical address is entered.

TIP:

If the mailing address is the same as the physical address, the mailing address is not added separately. N-FOCUS uses the physical address for mailing correspondence.

  1. From the Detail Organization Window, select the Address pushbutton.
  2. Select the Mailing Address radio button.  The Detail Address window displays the mailing address fields.  The Mailing Address field displays the addressee name.  Mailing addresses can be to PO Boxes or to street addresses.
  3. Select the Number field and type the number in the street address.
  4. Select the Direction field.   Click on the drop-down arrow to view the list of directions.  Select the direction for the street address.
  5. Select the Street Name field.  Type ONLY the street name.  For numbered streets, do NOT type suffixes such as –st, -nd, -rd, -th.  (Example: Type 17, not 17th Street).
  6. Select the Type field and click on the drop-down arrow to view the list of abbreviations.  The first 15 options are the ones most commonly used.  Scroll to view the remaining options, in alphabetical order.
  7. Select the Type of street.
  8. Select the Postdirection field,
  9. Select the Unit Type field and click on the drop-down arrow to view the list of directions.  Select the type of unit.
  10. Select the Unit Number field and type the unit designation (1, A, etc.)  Tab off the Unit Number field.

    Note: The Mailing Address box at the bottom of the window displays the entered information.  Note that the Suite A information is on a separate line.  When the combined street address and unit information is too long to fit on one line the Unit/Unit Number information is put on a different line, above the street address.

  11. Select the Zip Code field and  type the number in the first field.  Do not use the second field.  Tab off the zip code.    A message tells the user to enter the information for an out-of-state town.  Click on OK to close the message.
  12. Select the City field, and type the city.

    Note: When a Nebraska zip code is entered the City, Sate and County fields automatically populate.

  13. Select the State field and click on the drop-down arrow to display the list.  Select the state.
  14. Select the County field.  If an out of state zip code was entered the County field defaults to Out-of-state.  
  15. Select the Attention field, click on the drop-down arrow to view the list.  Select the needed option.
  16. Select the Name field and type the name of the person or entity who should take note.
  17. When the addresses are ready to keep, click on the OK button to close the Detail Address window. The Detail Organization window displays with an asterisk beside the Addresses button.  The asterisk indicates that new information needs to be saved.
  18. Select the  Save button to permanently save the addresses.  The asterisk disappears.  The addresses are saved and can be updated.
