When a client has been approved for a $90 VA payment and resides in a nursing home or assisted living waiver, use the income type of Veterans Personal Needs Allowance in Unearned Income.
When the budget processes, the $90 VA payment will not show on the budget, however the client will receive the $50.00 personal needs allowance. If the living arrangement is nursing home, acute hospital, ICF/MR or Assisted Living Waiver, the MNIL will not be reduced.
