Family Facility Information

The following information is used to describe Foster Homes and other family type facilities. This information does not have to be entered for Group Homes and other facilities that are not family facilities, but it may be helpful when considering a placement.

  1. Enter the appropriate number of the foster parents’ own children. The Number Of Own Children reflects the number of children, including biological and adoptive, the parents have parented. This number may also include children no longer in the home.
  2. Enter the date the organization completed the pre-service training requirements in The Pre-Service Completed field.
  3. Enter the family composition.
  4. Enter the ethnic group with which the family identifies. If a foster family identifies themselves as multi-racial you can go to the Person Detail Window (Demographics) to determine the race of each family member.
  5. Enter second language if appropriate.  It is assumed that an organization’s primary language is English.
  6. Enter the family’s religion. If a family describes themselves as multi-religion and it is felt to be important to determine the religion of individual family members, you need to either check the family’s application or talk to the family personally.
