Refugee Resettlement Program

The Refugee Resettlement Program (RRP) regulations have not yet been incorporated into N-FOCUS. Please follow these procedures until the rules are in place:

Procedure:

  1. Enter RRP cases into N-FOCUS as either ADC or MED (not AABD).
  2. The Immigration Type should be set to “Refugee Resettlement” for each person in the RRP case.
  3. When budgets are authorized, Budget Authorization will read the immigration type and set the funding to Refugee Resettlement. An SPI code of “G” (Refugee Resettlement) will interface to MMIS (C1). This allows the state to collect 100% federal funds from the Refugee Resettlement Program.

When the case is no longer eligible for the Refugee Resettlement program but is eligible for another program, change the Immigration Type to the appropriate reason and run the budget. Authorization will pick up the change and set the funding code to Federal/State.

There will also be a report run each month to identify cases with the Immigration type – “RR”.
