Understand IUC Interfaces

IUC  (Integrated Unemployment Compensation)

Purpose:  The IUC Interface is an electronic exchange with the state Department of Labor.  N-FOCUS receives unemployment insurance benefit information for all individuals in the State of Nebraska.

Schedule:  Daily

Once Unemployment Compensation makes a change, the unemployment information is displayed on the IUC Interface windows.

If the person in Pending, Active or Spend-down and has a role code of Participant or Financially Responsible in an Expert System case, the weekly Unemployment Compensation amounts are entered into the Unearned Income task for potential use in the Expert System case budget(s).

Alerts are created when payment information is received by the IUC interface.

Only Alerts relating to actual benefit payments are sent.  IUC Alerts are consolidated with BDE, SDX and LTC Alerts and one per day will be sent to the worker with the text "Interface Record".  "Interface record(s) received from (BDE, SDX,LTC, IUC) for (ARP NAME) on (expense, income) for participant in (program case name).
