The client, an ADC grant recipient with two children ages 12 and 16 comes into the office to report that she just learned that her 16-year-old daughter is pregnant. The baby is due in two months so the pregnancy is already in the third trimester. Upon receipt of written verification of the pregnancy, the unborn’s needs are added to the ADC grant regardless of how long the current case has received an ADC grant.

Note: The Family Cap does not apply to children who are the first born of minors included in an ADC grant who become minor parents. See 468 NAC 2-007.01A, #3.
