Licensing, Insurance, Drivers License
- The cost of licensing or insurance not related
to the purchase of automobiles is allowed if it is determined that transportation
is required for participation in the clients Self-Sufficiency Contract.
Again, typically, the insurance allowed is for 3 months.
- The vehicle must be registered in the participants
name.
- The participant must demonstrate that s/he can
pay for subsequent insurance costs.
- The cost of reinstating a drivers license is
allowed. However, it is NOT allowed if the license was lost due to a DWI/DUI.
The cost of court fines of any type must not be paid
with Employment First funds.
