Licensing, Insurance, Drivers License

  1. The cost of licensing or insurance not related to the purchase of automobiles is allowed if it is determined that transportation is required for participation in the clients Self-Sufficiency Contract. Again, typically, the insurance allowed is for 3 months.
  2. The vehicle must be registered in the participants name.
  3. The participant must demonstrate that s/he can pay for subsequent insurance costs.
  4. The cost of reinstating a drivers license is allowed. However, it is NOT allowed if the license was lost due to a DWI/DUI.

The cost of court fines of any type must not be paid with Employment First funds.
