- The value of assistance to children
under the Child Nutrition Act of 1966 - Public Law 89-642, Section 11(b);
- Reimbursements under the Relocation
Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Policy Act of 1970 - Public Law
91-646, Section 216;
- Payments caused by an emergency
or major disaster under the Disaster Relief Act of 1974 (Public Law 93-288,
Section 312(d) as amended by the Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance
Amendments of 1988 - Public Law 100-107). Most, but not all, Federal Emergency
Management Assistance, are excluded by this Act. Payments made by FEMA
when no federal emergency or disaster has been declared are not excluded;
- Amounts made available for allowable
costs of education (see
475 NAC 3-002.03A4);
- Student assistance received
under Title IV of the Higher Education Act and Bureau of Indian Affairs
effective July 1, 1993 (Public Law 102-325);
- Payments for the Wartime Relocation
of Civilians made to U.S. citizens of Japanese ancestry and permanent
resident Japanese aliens or their survivors and Aleut residents of the
Pribilof Islands West Unimak Island under the Civil Liberties Act of 1988
- Public Law 100-383, Section 105(f)(2);
- Coupons exchange for food under
Women, Infant, and Children (WIC) demonstration projects under Child Nutrition
Act of 1966 as amended by Public Law 100-435.
- All payments retroactive to
January 1, 1989, from the Agent Orange Settlement fund under the Agent
Orange Compensation Exclusion Act of 1989 - Public Law 101-201 and Public
Law 101-239. Payments under Public Law 102-4 are not excluded;
- Earned Income Tax Credit for
the month of receipt and the following month - Public Law 101-508;
- Payments under the Radiation
Exposure Compensation Act - Public Law 101-426, Section 6(h)(2);
- The amount of any energy assistance
paid directly to or indirectly in behalf of a household under the Low-Income
Energy Assistance Act of 1986 - Public Law 99-425, Section (e);
- The resources of any household
member who receives ADC or SSI; and
- Funds in a Program to Achieve
Self-Sufficiency (PASS) account.
