Unmarried parents with a child in common and at least one child with a different parent may receive Child Care Subsidy for all the children if the household meets all eligibility requirements. If one parent is receiving ADC or transitional medical for his/her child(ren), that parent may receive Child Care Subsidy and the other parent, that parent’s child(ren), and the child in common are ineligible.

Example Mom Dad Her 2 children His 2 children Child in common In this example, Mom is receiving ADC. She can apply for her 2 children only; Dad, Dad’s 2 children, and the child in common would be ineligible. If they want Child Care Subsidy for the child in common, you have to look at the entire unit of 7.
With this same family configuration if neither parent receives ADC or TMA, you have to look at all 7 as a family unit. |
