A woman’s spouse is considered the father of any children who are conceived or born during a marriage even if the couple is separated and/or has filed for divorce or annulment unless there is a court order that states otherwise. If a woman states that her spouse is not the father of her child, the worker shall encourage her to pursue the establishment of paternity, unless good cause exists.
