7-005.03C Priority 3

Priority 3 reports allege harm to a vulnerable adult which is serious, but not serious enough to be considered priority 1 or 2.

 

Examples of Priority 3 include but are not limited to:

 

1. A report of self-neglect resulting from impaired functions, either mental or physical (for example, inadequate clothing/food shelter/hygiene/supervision);

2. A report of an unsanitary environment; nutritional needs not being met, or misuse of or lack of medication; or

3. A report of self-neglect resulting from a caregiver's action or inaction (for example, unanswered "help" calls, caregiver/staff poorly trained, inadequate supervision, staffing shortages, improper administration of medication, or a violation of resident rights in a licensed facility.
