475 NAC 3-003.01D2a

The following medical costs are not allowed:

1. Premiums for life or dismemberment insurance;

2. Premiums for income producing policies;

3. Special diets;

4. Interest on a loan to pay medical expenses;

5. The basic telephone rate for a medic-alert system;

6. Overdue or past due expenses;

7. Medical expenses previously deducted in the food stamp budget;

8. Prescriptions received at no cost through the prescription drug discount program; and

9. Automobile medical liability insurance.
