The worker must determine good cause and notify the former ward or his/her representative of the decision on a Notice of Action. If the worker determines that good cause does not exist, s/he allows the former ward or his/her representative ten days to respond from the date that the Notice of Action was mailed. If the former ward or his/her representative does not cooperate, withdraw the application, or request the case closed, a sanction is imposed (see 479 NAC 6-002.08F).
