Funding Detail - Overview

The Funding Detail task is completed only for CFS and JC participants.

The Funding Detail task includes the completion of family details, court details, yearly review, and permanency review information.

Funding Detail is required when the participant is in an active Out-of-Home placement.

Funding Detail is used to determine whether funding is provided by federal funds (IVE) or state funds (CW).

Funding Detail is determined by a combination of the child’s legal status, and type of placement, and the type of services.

The Funding Detail legal status’s that affect federal funding are:

  • Police Hold – a child can only be in Police Hold for 48 hours,
  • Voluntary Agreement – a Voluntary Agreement lasts for a set amount of time and is not reviewed or changed until that time has expired, and
  • Court Order. (includes Juvenile Court, Tribal Court, DHHS Ward, and HYSSOPS Ward) - a Court Order lasts for an undetermined length of time and must be reviewed yearly.

These are the only status’s that require Court detail information.

All mandatory fields must be completed before the task can be saved.

To process the Funding Detail Yearly review, the review date in the mainframe must be changed before checking out the case to the expert system.

The Permanency Hearing Review is required for IV-E eligible state wards. The permanency review is required within 12 months of the placement and 12 months from any subsequent hearings. A Read Me tab displays when the task is opened and a review is needed.

Review Alerts are generated from this task.
