Overrides

WINDOW OVERVIEW:

The Overrides window opens when the Override button is selected on the Budget Authorization window.  This window displays the Override Category types available for the selected program case.

FIELD DESCRIPTIONS:

Title Bar:

The title bar displays the type of Program Case and the benefit month.

Category List Box:

Category:  This column displays the override categories available for the Program Case.

Current Value:  This column displays the current amount or category for the override.

Ovrd:  This column displays a Y if the budget has been overridden.  The field is blank if there is no override.

Override Category Box:

This box is enabled for Food Stamp cases when the reporting category is selected.  

Original Category:  This field displays the FSP category that processed with the budget prior to an override.

Override Category: Only Economic Assistance Supervisors have the security to perform this function.  They select the new category for the budget from those listed in the drop down list.

Override Amount Box:

This box is enabled when an amount to be overridden line is highlighted.

Original Amount:  This field displays the amount that processed in the budget prior to the override.

Override Amount:  Enter the amount of the override.

Reason for Override:  Select the appropriate override reason from the those in the drop down list.

Override Resource Test to Exempt: This option is selected if the household was determined to be income eligible for MAGI through the manual budgeting process using annualized income.

ACTION BUTTONS:

 The Next button is enabled when there is more than one option in the override category box.  Select the next button to process another override category.
OK The OK button enables when an override amount or category and reason are entered. When the button is selected a message window display for the budget category.  Select the OK to complete the override and return to the Budget Authorization window.
Close  Select the Close button to close the window without completing an override.
Help  The Help button is always enabled. It is used to display help instructions for this window.
