Close Case Person

WINDOW OVERVIEW:

The Close Case Person window displays when:

• A person in the Master Case has been highlighted in the Master Case Person list
• A Program Case has been highlighted in the Program Cases list
• and the Close Case Person function is selected from the Actions drop down menu on the Detail Master Case window.  

This function is available to close a person from a mainframe program case.

Note: Expert System program cases, single person program cases, or situations when this is the last person in the program case; cannot use this function.  An error message displays when you try.  Expert System cases must be checked out to close a case person and single person and last person cases must use the close program case function.

FIELD DESCRIPTIONS

Master Case Person Group Box:

Name: This field displays the name of the Master Case person to be closed.

SSN: This field displays the Social Security Number of the Master Case person to be closed.

Birth Date: This field displays the birth date of the Master Case person to be closed.

Sex: This field displays the gender of the Master Case person to be closed.

Program Case Group Box:

This field displays the mainframe program from which the Master case person is being closed.

Reason:  Use the drop down list to select the appropriate reason for closing the person from the program case.

End Date:  Enter the date (mm/dd/yyyy) the person is to be closed in the program case.

Rules for the End Date message box:

This box displays the rules for entering the end date.  The list of rules varies depending on the type of program case.

• End date cannot be prior to today.
• End date cannot be greater than current month plus two.
• End date must be last calendar day of a month.
• If Payroll has already run for this month, the end date for this case must be the last calendar day of next month.

ACTION BUTTONS:

	The OK button is enabled when all required information has been entered. Select the OK button to save the information and open the Close Case Person Confirm pop-up message.
	Select the Cancel button to close the window and NOT save the information that has been entered.
	The Help button will always be enabled. Help will display the help information for the this window.
