Correct End Date

WINDOW OVERVIEW:

The Correct End Date window is used to extend the end date of a Service Authorization in order to correct an error. Extending the end date should not be used to renew a Service Authorization as it will not keep a history of the original end date (as is the case when an Authorization is renewed).

Basic Rules:

  1. The Service Authorization end date may be extended but it can not be shortened. (To shorten a Service Authorization, the 'Close Service Authorization' action must be selected.)
  2. The system will ensure the following for the additional days; the Program Service Type is active, the Case Person has allowed status/role, the selected provider is active, and the Authorization does not duplicate another Authorization.
  3. The system will update the end date of any associated rates to the new Service Authorization end date.
  4. The worker must decide whether unit numbers or rate amounts need to be adjusted, and if so, take the appropriate action.
