ADC/MED Benefit Summary Detail

WINDOW OVERVIEW:

The Benefit Summary for ADC/MED cases is used to view the details of a selected ADC/MED budget.

FIELD DESCRIPTIONS:

Begin Date: The budget month is displayed in the title bar of the window.

Program Case Group Box:

This box displays the first and last name of the Program Case Name person, the type of program case, and the type of budget (regular or recalculated)

Budget Details Display Box:

Left Side:

Resource Total: This field displays the amount of total resources calculated for the program case.

Resource Limit: This field displays the resource limit established for the program case.

Earned Income: This field displays the gross amount of earned income calculated for the program case.

Earned Income Disregard: This field displays the amount of earned income disregards allowed for the program case.

Child Care Disregard: This field displays the amount of child care disregard allowed for the program case.

Standard of Need: This field displays the standard of need established for the program case.

Net Earned Income: This field displays the amount of earned income calculated after considering program disregards for earned income.

Result This field displays the amount of income remaining after subtracting the net earned income from the standard of need.

Compared to Payment Standard: This field displays the payment limit established for the program case.

Lower Amount: This field displays the lower of "result " or "compared to payment standard" amounts.

Unearned Income: This field displays the amount of unearned income calculated for the program case.

Allocation In Amount: This field displays the amount of income allocated from any other program cases when appropriate.

Deemed Income:This field displays the amount of income deemed from any other sources when appropriate.

Budgetary Need: This field displays the lower amount minus any unearned income, allocation in amount, or deemed income amount.

Right Side:

Unit Size: This field displays the number of persons considered in the program case budgeting. (A double click on this field opens a helpful non-financial summary.)

Budgetary Need: This field displays the budgetary need calculated on the left side of the budget.

Compared to Child/Spousal Support: This field displays the amount of child support calculated for the program case. It is used to compare with the budgetary need.

Sanctioned Amount:This field displays the amount of any budgetary sanctions on the program case.

Recoupment Amount:This field displays the amount of any payments being withheld to repay any overpayment.

Offset Amount:This field displays the amount of any underpayments applied to the repayment of an overpayment.

Overpayment Amount: This field displays the amount of the overpayment.

Authorized Amount: This field displays the amount of benefits issued. *

Allocation Out Amount:This field displays the amount of excess benefits applied to another program case.

Creation Date: This field displays the date the budget was authorized.

Resource Test: This field displays the Exempt, Pass or Fail status for the resource test.

Income Test: This field displays the Pass or Fail status for the income test. The reason for a Fail status will also display.

*If the Authorized amount field is a TMA Half Grant that will be noted several spaces below the last field on this side of the box.

Note: The specifics of many of the line items can be viewed by double clicking on the line. (designated on these pages in navy blue type). Budgets authorized before 07-06-2004 may be displayed in a different format and not all of the fields listed here in navy blue type will open.

ACTION BUTTONS:

 The Override button is enabled when the Authorized Amount Budgetary Need line is highlighted.  It is used to correct this amount when policy has been changed but not yet updated in N-FOCUS.
OK Select the OK button to close the Benefit Summary window.
Help Select the Help button for window specific Help information.
