Approve a Service Need Assessment

  1. Select the SNA icon on the N-FOCUS Main Menu to open the Search Service Needs Assessment window.
  2. On the window
    1. Enter the Person’s assessment ID number if known or
    2. Use out arrow to open the Person Search window.
      1. Enter the person’s SSN or
      2. Enter last name, first name, sex etc. or
      3. Enter the person’s ID #.
    3. The  Person List window opens.  Highlight the appropriate person line and select the blue return arrow.
  3. The person’s name returns to the Search Service Needs Assessment window.
  4. Select the Search button.
    1. If the List Service Need Assessment window opens, highlight the appropriate draft assessment line and double click or select the open icon to view the Detail Service Need Assessment window for the selected assessment.
    2. If only one assessment is available the Detail Service Need Assessment window for the selected assessment opens.
  5. Select the Approve Assessment option in the Actions drop down menu.  A warning message appears if there is information that must still be completed.
  6. If all information is complete the Approve Service Needs Assessment window opens.
  7. Select the black arrow to open the Search Staff Person window.
  8. Enter the Logon ID of self or worker approving the assessment.  The name returns to the Approve Service Needs Assessment window.
  9. Select the Provider button to open the Update Service Needs Assessment Question regarding Provider availability.
  10. Select the Yes or No radio button.
  11. The Approve Assessment Confirmation window opens.  Select the OK button to approve the assessment or the Cancel button to return to the Approve Service Needs Assessment window without approving.
  12. If approved, no further changes can be made.
  13. Print a Service Need Assessment Plan Notification.
  14. On the Detail Service Need Assessment window, select the Save icon to save the approval and stay on the window or the Save and Close icon to save the approval and exit the window.
