2-020.09A Good Cause
The following are some examples of good cause for failing or refusing
to participate in EF.
- The participant’s illness or incapacitation;
- Incarceration or court-required appearance of the participant;
- A family crisis or change in family circumstances which
interfere with participation;
- Unavailability or a breakdown in transportation or child
care arrangements with no readily accessible alternative;
- Weather conditions which would prohibit the client from
participating in the prescribed activity;
- A wage which results in a net loss of cash income. For
explanation of net loss of income, see 468
NAC 2-020.09A1;
- Hazardous work conditions;
- The participant’s mental or physical inability to do the
job; or
- The presence of domestic violence in the participant’s
life which interferes with his/her ability to secure child care or transportation;
his/her ability to attend school, training, or work; and/or which compromises
him/her or his/her children’s physical and/or emotional safety..

Loss of Income
