When an application for assistance is approved, the first month's payment begins with date of application, if all eligibility factors were met. Prorated payment amounts are calculated by N-FOCUS. If eligibility occurs after the date of application, payment is prorated from the date eligibility begins. For administrative efficiency, a standard 30-day month is used in determining prorated payments. For date of medical eligibility, see 468 NAC 4-004.
Prorated payments apply to the first month a payment is issued or an individual is added to an existing unit.
If the only dependent child is a qualified unborn, grant eligibility begins with the third trimester of pregnancy.
