If a unit member leaves the home, the worker must consider grant eligibility for the remaining unit members. If the family is ineligible for a grant and/or ADC related medical assistance, the remaining unit members may continue to be eligible for TMA. If it is the only dependent child who leaves, the whole unit loses eligibility for TMA.
If the only child no longer meets the age qualification (see 468 NAC 4-003), the unit loses eligibility for TMA. Before closing the case, the worker must determine if the child is eligible for another assistance program, such as Ribicoff, SAM, or Kids Connection.
