Participant Actions - Close

WINDOW OVERVIEW:

The Close Participant Actions window is used to close a participant from AABD, ADC SNAP, ES MED, and Retro MED program cases.

How Do I:

Close A Participant

FIELD DESCRIPTIONS:

Participant: Highlight the person that is being closed from the list of active, pending, or spenddown participants. The list includes the last name, first name, birth date or EDD for unborns, and the household status of the person. Only one person can be processed at a time.

Program Case: Highlight the case from which the person should be closed. Only one program case can be processed at a time.

Closure Reason: Open the Closure Reason drop down list and select the appropriate closing reason. The list will have closing reason specific to the type of program case being closed.

Sanction Type: This field is enabled when sanction is selected as the closure reason. Open the drop down list and select the appropriate type of sanction being imposed.

Work Requirement Reason: This field is enabled when work requirement is selected as the sanction type. Open the drop down list and select the appropriate work requirement that has not been met.

Change selected Participant(s) Household Status to “Out”: Select the “Yes” radio button when the person in no longer in the household.

Program Case Name: When the person being closed from the program case is the program case name person an new program case name person should be selected from the drop down list.

Take action for this month only? Group Box: This field is enabled if the month selected in the Benefit Month on the Participant Actions Current Tab window is not the come up month. Select the “yes” radio button if the closing of the household member is for only the month selected in the Benefit Month on the Participant Actions Current Tab window. (If you cannot view the date, move the mouse pointer to the title bar of this window and drag the window lower to view the date field.)

ACTION BUTTONS:

The Next button is enabled to allow another person to be closed from the program case.
The OK button is used to save the information that has been currently entered.  When the close reason is Sanction and an active SNAP case exists, the FTC message opens.
The cancel button is used to leave the window and NOT save the information that has been currently entered.
Select the Help button to display the help information for the active task.
