Detail Collections
WINDOW OVERVIEW:
The Detail Collections window is used to post a collection(s) to one or more accounts receivable.
FIELD DESCRIPTIONS:
Collection Group Box:
This group box records the type of collection, the amount of the collection, the collection received date and displays the collection balance.
Type: Select the type of collection received from the options in the drop down list.
Amount: Enter the dollar amount received.
Received Date: This field displays the current date. If the collection was received on a previous date, enter the actual date received.
Balance: This field displays the balance of the applied collection.
Document Number: If a payment other than cash or food coupons was entered, this field will become enabled to enter information from the payment document, such as check or money order number.
Date: This field displays the current date. Enter the date of the payment document.
Name/Desc: Enter a description of the collection document received.
Applied To Group Box:
This group box displays the results of adding the collection to the specified accounts receivable.
A/R Nbr: This column displays the unique system assigned accounts receivable number(s) to which part of or all of this collection was applied.
Status: This column displays the current status of this accounts receivable.
Amount: This column displays the dollar amount applied to each specified account receivable
Applied Date: This column displays the date the dollar amount is applied to the specified account receivable.
Description: This column displays the description entered on the Account Receivable Collection window.
ACTION BUTTONS:

Select the Add button to display the Account Receivable Collection window and add a collection line item. This is used multiple times when posting a collection to more than one Accounts Receivable. |

The Update button enables when a collection line is highlighted in the Applied to list box. The Account Receivable Collection window opens so the information can be updated. |

The Remove button enables when a collection line is highlighted in the Applied to list box. Select this button to remove (delete) the collection line item. This is used for error correction. |
