The Calculate Income - Fluctuating Unearned Income tab is used to calculate the types of unearned income that are considered fluctuating.

Owner Group Box:
Highlight the first row of unearned income to be calculated. An asterisk at the beginning of a row of unearned income means the income has not been calculated.
Owner: This column displays the first and last name of the unearned owner.
Type: This column displays the type of unearned income.
Frequency: This column displays the frequency the unearned income is received.
Source: This column displays the source of the unearned income.
Child/Spousal Support Assigned for (benefit month) Check Box:
This box is enabled when the type of unearned income is Child Support or Spousal Support and the type of case being processed is ADC/MED or FSP. Select this check box if the child or spousal support will be assigned to the state for the budget month being processed.

Calculation Method:
Select the calculation method from those available in the drop down list.
Multiplier: This field will only become active when LIHEAP has been requested. Select how many months will be used for the annual LIHEAP budget.
Display Month(s) of Unearned Income Date Boxes:
From: The From box defaults to the most recent month with unearned income. Other months with unearned income can be selected from the drop down list. Select the most current month with unearned income to be included in the budget process.
To: The list of months in the To drop down list box include all past months with unearned income information. Select the oldest month with unearned income to be included in the budget process.
Unearned Income Instance List:
This box displays all unearned income instances entered between the To and From dates. Highlight the amounts to be used in the income calculation. One or many may be selected
Date Received: This column displays the date the unearned income was received.
Amount: This column displays the gross amount of the unearned income.
Adj Amount: This column displays any adjustment amount to the unearned income amount.
Net Amount: This column displays the net amount of unearned income (the gross amount minus the adjustment amount.

The
Add button enables when one or more rows of unearned income are highlighted.
The Add button adds (commits) the selected unearned income instance(s)
to the budget process. When working with a LIHEAP case, the Add button will not become enabled until the Multiplier field has been populated. |
