Family Relationship - Overview
The Family Relationship task establishes the relationships between all Master case people including unborn children even if they are not applying for assistance. Relationships between Master Case Persons are limited to specific Relationship Types.
The system will enter the begin date of the relationship. It will use the birth date of the youngest person’s date of birth (if child is under 1 year old, system will default to 9 months prior to the birth date) if the relationship is :
Parent (Biological) of child
Sibling - Biological
Relative
Non-relative
Establish the biological relationship between the mother and the unborn child.
After the biological parent relationship has been established for all of the children, the system will establish the biological sibling relationships.
The Family Relationship task also establishes the marital status of each household member. See Marital Status.
Marital status will default to “Never Married” for all children under age 13.
No eligibility is determined in this task. If a person does not meet necessary relationship criteria the case maintenance task should be used to remove the person from the appropriate program case(s).
This task data will need to be verified.
No alerts will be generated from this task.
This data is used for AABD, ADC, and Medical case configuration, budget computations, CFS reports, managed care, co-pay, and CHARTS.
