Citizenship/Immigration - Overview
The Citizenship/Immigration task is used to document the citizenship or immigration status of every Expert System person regardless of program and/or household status. This is a mandatory task.
Citizenship must be verified for all ADC, AABD, and Medicaid program persons before budgeting will be allowed to process.
Citizenship and Immigration status does not need to be verified for persons who are not ACTIVE participants in AABD, ADC, and MED cases. Persons who are only financially responsible in these cases do not have to have the status verified in order to run budgeting.
The status of ‘Ineligible Alien’ is now available.
No eligibility is determined in this task. If a person is ineligible for a program(s) due to their immigration status, the Case Maintenance task of Participant Actions should be used to remove the person from the appropriate program case(s). Case configuration will place the person(s) in the proper financially responsible or excluded sibling role.
