Detail Removal

WINDOW OVERVIEW:

The Detail Removal window is used to document the details of a child's removal from the parent or legal caretaker.

FIELD DESCRIPTIONS:

Name List Box:

This box lists the first and last name of the child.

This icon enables when the child's name is highlighted. Select the icon to open the Person Detail window for the highlighted child.

Date: Enter or view the date of the child's removal from the parent or legal caretaker.

ICPC-NE Receiving State: This indicator shows whether the removal is part of an ICPC case where the child was placed from another state. Select it to by-pass the need to fill in all the removal information that may not be available for an ICPC child.

ICJ-NE Receiving State: This indicator shows whether the removal is part of an ICJ case where the child is a juvenile offender being placed from another state. Select it to by-pass the need to fill in all the removal information that may not be available for an ICJ child.

Return in 90 Days: This indicator shows that the plan for the child is to return to the parent or legal caretaker within 90 days of the removal.

Select the Consultation Point button to open the Detail Narrative window.

Removal Information Group Box:

Removed By: Select the party responsible for the removal from those in the drop down list.

Removal Reason: Select one or more reasons for the removal.

Reasonable Efforts: Select the primary reasonable effort from those in the list to show that reasonable efforts have been made to keep the child in the home. This is a requirement for the initial court report.

Removed From Group Box:

Parent/Caretaker unknown: This indicator shows that the parent or legal caretaker of the child is unknown.

Parent/Caretaker: This field displays the first and last name of the first parent.

	Select this search arrow to open the Person Search window where the parents name can be entered.
	Select the Person icon to open the Person Detail window for the parent.Parent/ Caretaker -This field displays the first and last name of the second parent.
	Select this search arrow to open the Person Search window where the parents name can be entered.
	Select the Person icon to open the Person Detail window for the parent.

Removal Environment: Data is to be entered into this field when a child is removed to comply with Federal Reporting Standards. This field should indicate where the child lives. The drop down option for this field are as follows:

Parent Household
Relative Household
Legal Guardian Household
Relative Legal Guardian Household
Justice Facility
Medical/Mental Health Facility
Other

Note: If the option Other is selected, a short narrative is required. The narrative pop up window is displayed by selecting the icon with the three dots .

Select this icon to display the Removal Environment Description pop up window when the option of Other is selected from the Removal Environment drop down field.
