Safety Narrative

WINDOW OVERVIEW:

The Safety Narrative window is used by several areas of the Safety Model and each of the areas have a set of narrative types to be completed.  Narratives can only  be updated if they are in Draft or Revision Required status.

Safety Assessment Overview

FIELD DESCRIPTIONS:

CFS Case Name:  This field displays the CFS Program Case Name.

Mode:  The current
INQUIRY
UPDATEwindow mode is displayed under the Close icon.

Narrative Type List Box:

Highlight a line to enter information for that type of narrative.

Narrative Type:  This column displays the type of narrative items displayed or the type of narrative to be entered in the Current Narrative Box.  See: Safety Narrative chart.  The type of narrative item will change depending on the button used to open the window.  

Last Updated:  This column displays the date the narrative was last added or updated

Narrative Text:  This column displays the first 40 characters of the narrative text.

Current Narrative Box:

The Current narrative box is used to enter the narrative information for the type of narrative highlighted in the Narrative Type List Box.  Each narrative type will have only one instance of current narrative.

Text Last Updated By:    This field displays the User ID of the of the worker who last updated the narrative.

On:  This field displays the date of the most recent narrative entry.

Status:   This field displays the
Add = a first time narrative.

Update = narrative exists and may be changed.

Inquiry = the narrative is in Final or Ready for Review.

View only security will not allow the window to open.status of the narrative displayed in the group box.  The status for a first narrative will be ADD.

as of:  This field displays the effective date of the status.

ACTION ICONS:

	Select the Maximize icon to open the Maximize Narrative window.
	Select the Spell Check icon to have the narrative spell checked.  The Safety Assessment Narrative Spell Check message opens.
	Select the Clear icon to delete any narratives in Add or Update status.

Prior Narrative Box:

The Prior Narrative box displays the most recent narrative from a finalized Safety Assessment, Safety Plan, or Protective Action.

Date Finalized:  This field displays the date the Safety Assessment, Safety Plan, or Protective Action was made final.

	Select the Previous button to view the next most recent past instance of narrative.
	Select the Next button to view the next most recent instance of narrative that has been found using the Previous button.
	Select the Maximize icon to open the Maximize Narrative window.
