Action Required Alerts:

If an Alert has a Due Date, action is required. The Alert should not be closed until action is taken. A Review Date is an example of an action- required alert.

Action required alerts are always set by the system.

You may close your own alerts with a Due Date from anywhere the Alerts icon is displayed.

Action Required Example: "Program case ##### is due for yearly review. Worker needs to schedule a review of case "

Informational Alerts:

A worker-generated Informational Alert on N-FOCUS is like setting a "reminder" on the current system.

Informational Alerts may or may not require action and may be set by either the system (Batch) or the worker (On Line).

An Informational Alert cannot be updated. However, you can clear the alert and generate a new one.

If you add an Informational Alert for a Program Case, any other worker that might be assigned to that Program Case would get that informational alert as well.

Information Alerts may only be cleared by accessing the Alerts icon on the N-FOCUS Main Menu.

Informational Example: "A court hearing has been scheduled on MM-DD-YYYY."
