The Detail Trust Fund Account window is used to enter and display detailed Trust Fund Account information. Access to the information is based on the workers security level. An account cannot be added if the person (ward) is a Discontinued person.

State Ward Trust Fund Accounts - Overview
Mode: The current Mode is displayed under the Close icon.
Person Group Box:
This box contains information about the state ward.
Name: This field displays first and last name of the state ward. The field will be blank when creating a new account. This is a mandatory field.
SSN: This field displays the social security number of the state ward. The field will be blank when creating a new account.
Birthdate: This field displays the state ward's date of birth. The field will be blank when creating a new account.
Legal Status: This field displays the state ward's legal status. The field will be blank when creating a new account.

To add a state ward to an account select elect the search arrow to open the Person Search window. When the selected person is returned to this window the Name, SSN, and Birthdate fields will populate. |
Balances Group Box:
This box contains information about the trust fund account. The Personal Asset balances do not display on the accounts that do not track personal assets.
Current: This field displays the current balance in the account including personal assets.
Available: This field displays the available balance in the account minus any pending transactions.
Note: If there are pending transactions these balances will be different. Once the transactions are processed the current and available balances will be the same.
Account Group Box:
This box contains information about the trust fund account and the associated commercial bank account.
Number: This field displays the number of the trust fund account.
Status: This field displays the status of the account.
Status Date: This field displays the date the current status began.
Bank Account: This field displays the name of the state ward bank account. The field will be blank when creating a new account.

Select this arrow to open the List Bank Account window for the Commercial Banks assigned to the Financial Worker and select the appropriate account. If only one bank is assigned that bank name automatically displays. |
Type: Select the type of bank account from those in the drop down list. This is a mandatory field. Only those bank account types established with the selected commercial bank will be available. If the selected commercial bank account type was established with a Personal Account indicator of "Y", the State Ward Monthly Maintenance window opens.
Comments: Enter any comments that should be tied to the trust fund account.
Personal Assets Group Box:
This box contains information about the personal assets obtained and used by the state ward. This is used only for Guardianship accounts.
Total Accumulated: This field displays the total personal assets up to $1000. (The amount may be over $1000 when interest is credited).
Balance*: This field displays the total accumulated income minus any personal asset debit transactions.
Available*: This field displays the balance minus any pending personal asset debit transactions. This is the amount the ward has for personal use.
Excess Available: This field displays the trust fund available balance minus the personal assets available balance. This is the amount available to the state for reimbursement.
Account Transactions List Box:
This list contains each transaction on the account with the most current transaction at the top of the list.
Date: This column displays the date of the transaction.
Description: This column displays a description of the transaction.
Debit: This column displays the amount of any debit transactions.
Credit: This column displays the amount of any credit transaction.
Balance: This column displays the balance of the account after any debit or credit transactions.
Payee: This column displays the name of the payee on debit transactions.
Comments: This column displays the comments tied to this transaction.
Reference Number: This column displays the number on the check or receipt.
Receipt #: This column displays the receipt number on the transaction.

The Organization icon is enabled when a transaction line with an organization as payee is highlighted. Select the icon to open Detail Organization window for the highlighted organization. |
