Reopen Case Actions

WINDOW OVERVIEW:

The Reopen Case Actions window is used to reopen expert system program cases that are closed or denied in the month selected on the Case Actions Current Tab window. If there is a sanction associated with a case person a sanction message opens.

Only one program case can be reopened at a time.

Reopen a Program Case

FIELD DESCRIPTIONS:

Program Case List Box:

Highlight the closed or denied program to be reopened from the list of expert system programs.

Last Name:  This column lists the last name of the Program Case Name person.

First Name:  This column lists the first name of the Program Case Name person.

Program:  This column lists the type of Program Case.

Program Case Number:  This column lists the Program Case Number

Participant List Box:

Highlight the person(s) to be included in the reopened program case. More than one person may be highlighted.

If the person’s household status is “out of household”, the Update Household Status window opens.

A person will not be listed if s/he is an active, pending, or spend-down participant in a “like” program case.

Last Name:  This column lists the last name of the Program Case Person.

First Name:  This column lists the first name of the Program Case Person.

Birth Date:  This column lists the date of birth for  the Program Case Person.

Household Status:  This column lists the Program Case Person's Household Status.


App Req. Date: Enter the date the application was requested to reopen the AABD, ADC, expert system Medical, Retro Medical or FW case.  This cannot be later than the current date or the selected benefit month.  For a retro MED case it cannot be more than 4 months later than the selected benefit month

App Rec’d Date: Enter the date the application was received for the reopened program. This cannot be later than the current date or the selected benefit month. For retro MED cases there is no date check.

SNAP Reinstatement:  This field is enabled for SNAP cases.

  • Yes:  Select the “Yes” radio button if this is a reinstatement. (This means the certification period will remain the same.)
  • No:  Select the “No” radio button if this is not a reinstatement.

Eligible for Expedited:  This field enabled for SNAP cases.

  • Yes:  Select the “Yes” radio button if THE HOUSEHOLD IS ELIGIBLE FOR EXPEDITED SERVICES.
  • No:  Select the “No” radio button if THE HOUSEHOLD IS not ELIGIBLE FOR EXPEDITED SERVICES

Prorate Date:  This field is enabled for programs that allow a prorated payment.  Enter the prorate date.

Program Case Name:  Select only one person from the drop down list to be the program case name. Only persons with a role of participant or financially responsible will be listed.

Participation Status:  This field is enabled for Employment First program cases.  Select the Participation Status from those in the drop down list.

Participation Reason:  This field is enabled for Employment First program cases.  Select the Participation Reason from those in the drop down list.

Completed Level of Education:  This field is enabled for Employment First program cases.  Select the Education Level achieved by the participant from those in the drop down list.

ACTION BUTTONS:

The Next button is enabled to allow another program case to be reopened.  Information for the first case is saved.   The Case Action Confirmation message or Employment First Error message may open.
The OK button is used to save the information that has been currently entered.
The Cancel button is used to leave the window and NOT save the information that has been currently entered.  Any information saved by the use of the Next button will be saved.
The Help button displays the help information for this window.
