Update US Citizenship/Immigration

WINDOW OVERVIEW:

The Update Immigration window opens when the Update button is selected on the Citizenship/Immigration - Current or Citizenship/Immigration - History tabs.  It is used to make changes to existing citizenship or immigration information.

The status entered before the new information will be ended the day before the new status date.

How Do I

Update US Citizenship or Immigration Information

FIELD DESCRIPTIONS:

Person List Box:

This box displays the master case persons (excluding unborns) highlighted for change on the Citizenship/Immigration - Current or Citizenship/Immigration - History tab.

Last Name:  This column displays the person's last name.

First Name:  This column displays the person's first name.

DOB:  This column displays the person's date of birth.

US Citizen:  Select the radio button to indicate new citizenship status.

Yes:  Select this radio button if the person is a US citizen or naturalized citizen.

No:  Select this radio button if the person is not a US citizen.

US Citizenship Begin Date:  When the "Yes" radio button is select the person's date of birth in entered in this field.  If the date of naturalization is a different date enter the correct date (MM-DD-YYYY).

Immigration Status: This field displays a list of  Immigration statuses. Select the proper Immigration status for the highlighted person from those in the drop down list.

Alien Registration Number:  Enter the non-citizen person's Alien Registration number.

Immigration Status Date: Enter the date that the immigration status began for the person. This date cannot be a future date. (Dates should always be entered as MM-DD-CCYY.)

US Entry Date: Enter the date that the individual(s) entered the United States. This date cannot be a future date, earlier than the persons birth date, or after the Immigration Status date. (Dates should always be entered as MM-DD-CCYY).

Verification Source: Select the type of verification used to document the citizenship or Immigration status from those listed in the drop down list.

ACTION BUTTONS:

	This button is used to save the information that was currently entered and return to the Citizenship/Immigration - Current or Citizenship/Immigration - History tab.
	This button is used to close the Citizenship/Immigration -Current or Citizenship/Immigration - History tabs without saving the information that was entered.
	This button will always be enabled. Help will display the help information relating to the data collection task that is active.
