Developmental Disabilities Overview
Developmental Disability cases in the N-FOCUS system include
- DDSC – Service Coordination.
- DDAID – State Aid Only
- ADD – Adults Developmental Disabilities Waiver (will be phased out after conversion to DDAC, DDAD, and DDAR is completed in 2003)
- DDAC - Developmental Disabilities Adult Comp Waiver
- DDAD - Developmental Disabilities Adult Day Waiver
- DDAR - Developmental Disabilities Adult Resident Waiver
- CDD – Child Developmental Disabilities Waiver
All DDSC and DDAID cases are one person cases created in Cool:Gen (mainframe). No assistance or category codes will be created for the cases.
ADD, DDAC, DDAD, DDAR, and CDD cases are one person cases processed in both the Cool:Gen and Expert systems.
Everyone referred for or receiving Developmental Disabilities services will be registered in a DDSC case.
The DDSC case is assigned to a service coordinator and remains in pending status until the client is funded to receive staff provided service coordination. When funded, the DDSC case is activated and a service authorization is created. An assessment is completed and a DDAID, CDD, DDAC, DDAD, or DDAR case is added for additional service needs. Providers are located and service authorization(s) created.
If the client is not funded (there are not funds available to provide the needed service(s)), the service they requested is recorded as a service request (waiting list).
