Search Child Safety

WINDOW OVERVIEW:

The Search Child Safety window opens when the Child Safety icon is selected on the N-FOCUS Main Menu.  The window is used to search for Safety Assessments, Safety Plans, and Protective Actions.

FIELD DESCRIPTIONS:

Search for Group Box:

Click on one of the search criteria listed.  The options available is the following boxes will change depending on the criteria selected in this box.  A second and third search can be processed by selecting and searching each of the selections.

Safety Assessment:  Click on this radio button to search for Safety Assessments.

Safety Plan:  Click on this radio button to search for Safety Plans.

Protective Action:  Click on this radio button to search for Protective Actions.

Search by Staff/Person Group Box:

Depending on the selection in the Search for group box, one or more of these criteria will be enabled.  Each option enables the black Search arrow .  This arrow is then selected to open the type of search window needed for the option.

Completed By:  Click on this radio button and search arrow to open the Search Staff Person window.

Assigned To:  Click on this radio button and search arrow to open the Search Staff Person window.

Supervisor:  Click on this radio button and search arrow to open the Search Staff Person window.

Person Involved:  Click on this radio button and search arrow to open the Person Search window.

Office:  Click on this radio button and search arrow to open the Search Office window.

AND

Status/Type Group Box:

The search criteria can be narrowed by status and type.

Status:  Select one of the status's in the drop down list.

Type:  This option is only available if Safety Assessment is selected in the Search for group box.  Select on of the assessment types from the drop down list.

AND

Date Range Group Box:

The search criteria can be narrowed by date.

From:  Enter the date (MM-DD-YYYY) to begin the search.

To:  Enter the date to (MM-DD-YYYY) end the search.

ACTION BUTTONS:

	Select the Search button to begin to process a search based on the selected criteria. The List Safety Assessment,  List Safety Plan, or List Protective Action window opens.
	Select the Clear button to remove the selected criteria and remain on the window to enter another set of criteria.
	Select the Cancel button to close the window and return to the N-FOCUS Main Menu.
