YLS Domain Characteristic Detail

WINDOW OVERVIEW:

The YLS Domain Characteristic Detail window opens when an assessment is opened and one of the domains is selected (double click) from the list of domains on the YLS Assessment Detail window.

FIELD DESCRIPTIONS:

ARP ID: This field displays the random/unique N-FOCUS number assigned to the agency related person It is for display purposes only.

Name: This field displays first and last name of the Juvenile being assessed.

Mode: This field displays the current window mode.

Assessment Date: This field displays the date the assessment was completed or started by the user.

Domain Name Box:

This box displays the name of the domain that is currently being updated or reviewed.

Domain Narrative Box:

Enter or view a short synopsis and final analysis of the domain selected. This box can hold up to 250 characters. All 250 characters are viewable on this screen.

Select the Maximize icon to view the narrative full screen and to apply a spell check. The Maximize Narrative window opens..

Source Box:

Enter or view a short entry (25 characters) of who was interviewed or what files were referenced to determine the scoring and analysis determination.

Interview Summary Box:

This is a display only box with the narrative that was entered on the Interview Summary window for this particular Domain. To add, update or change this field select the YLS Interview Summary icon or Interview summary option in the Go-To drop down menu.

Select all of the Characteristics that apply box:

Each domain has a set of characteristics to determine the scoring for that domain. To select a characteristic that applies click on it to highlight. Notice the Domain score will change by one point as a characteristic is selected or de-selected and the Risk Level will change appropriately. More than one characteristic can be highlighted.

Strength: Check this box if the domain is a strength for the juvenile. Any domain can be considered a strength except for Offenses and Disposition. When the square box is checked the narrative box opens.

Strength Narrative Box: Enter the narrative for the domain strengths. This box can hold up to 250 characters. All 250 characters are viewable on this screen. An entry is required if the strength check box was selected

Select the Maximize icon to view the narrative full screen and to apply a spell check. The Maximize Narrative window opens.

Domain Score: This field displays the count for the highlighted characteristics.

Risk Level: This field displays the level of Risk determined by the number of characteristics selected or highlighted. Each domain has its own unique scale.
